Karin has more than 30 years of experience in international medical technology companies including HemoCue, CellaVision, Bonesupport, Chromogenix (Sweden), EKF Diagnostics (UK) and Vidacare (the Netherlands). She has an extensive experience from international marketing, sales and top management in addition to strategic planning and business development. She is a board member of the listed companies Boule Diagnostics and HemCheck Sweden and the privat company Histolab Products.

Co-founder / Business Developer
Maria has a bachelor’s degree from Industrial Engineering and Management and a master in Entrepreneurship and Business Design. It was the strong interest in medicine and the process of starting up new businesses that brought her to the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship, and together with Emma Wejedal and Caroline Blomqvist built the foundation of Monivent in 2013. Maria was the company’s CEO during the early years and holds today a role as business developer with focus on future product developments and improvements, strategic partnerships and clinical collaborations.

Thomas is a CFO Consultant with more than 20 years of experience within Life Science start-up companies including Arexis AB, merged into Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ), Pharmasurgics AB, merged into Promore Pharma AB (publ), and Integrum AB (publ). He has also spent 10 years as CFO/Business Controller in Albireo AB (associated company to AstraZeneca) listed at Nasdaq Composite in New York.

Oscar graduated from Chalmers University of Technology and the Electrical Engineering program. He holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and spent his final semester developing Monivent’s second prototype as his master thesis. Oscar’s educational background, early engagement in the project together with a great interest in medical applications makes him a perfect fit for the position as product developer in Monivent, his full-time job since summer of 2014.
Antti holds a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. His interests lie in the fields of signal processing, data analysis, physical modelling and product development and he has previously worked at smaller med tech companies like Neoventa Medical AB and Medfield Diagnostics AB. This background makes Antti well suited to work on algorithms and signal processing here at Monivent.
International Commercial Director
Jon has more than 25 years of experience at senior international level with some of the world’s leading manufacturers of patient monitoring and medical devices in roles that include sales management, marketing and product management. Most recently he has been responsible for establishing and managing international distribution networks and developing relationships with key opinion leader for companies that include Masimo Inc. (US), Philips (Netherlands), and Nonin (US).
Philip-Jan holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Engineering for Industrial Design from Malaga University, Spain, and a Bachelor of Science, major in Product Design Engineering, University of Skövde. His main interests lie in mechanical engineering, product development and CAD. Philip-Jan has previously held positions as Mechanical Engineer within R&D at Ericsson and a variety of medical technology companies like Ondosis, Essity and Wellspect. In his role as R&D Engineer he will also be responsible for company suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Commercial Product Manager
Maria holds a M.Sc in Business Administration and Economics from Halmstad University. She has more than 20 years of international sales and marketing experience from medical technology companies like HemoCue, XVIVO Perfusion and Vitrolife. Maria has a passion for delivering marketing and sales activities that not only provide customer value and brings customer insight, but also builds strong brand position and support for sales teams.
Martin holds a Master of Science in Engineering Biology from Linköping University. He has worked in different roles with quality assurance and regulatory affairs in the medical device industry for almost twenty years, in companies like Mölnlycke, Cochlear and Nobel Biocare. Martin brings broad experience and expertise suitable for developing quality management systems and achieving product approvals in new markets.
